I received an email this morning from a business associate, Rob, that has become a great friend of mine. We had worked together for some time when I finally met him face-to-face at a show in Nashville. Just prior to our meeting at the show, I received a call from my wife letting me know that our son, Isaac, had another series of seizures and the Dr.'s believe he may have Autism.
Needless to say, I was a bit shaken up from the phone call and not really in any kind of state to continue my meeting. As I went back to tell Rob what was going on he asked if he could introduce me to someone. I really didn't want to meet anyone at that moment but the Lord used this introduction to speak to me directly that day. Rob introduced his beautiful son, Paul, who was then a public high school student with Autism. Paul was there helping out at his father's company during this trade show. I felt that the Lord was speaking directly to me letting me know that He is in control of all things, great and small. Why should I worry when He is in control?
My son, Isaac, has been through many major health traumas throughout his 6 yrs of life. I look forward to sharing those stories at a later date but it seems that God speaks to me the loudest when I am just about broken.
I've attached an article that Rob's local newspaper ran about his two oldest boys graduating from High School; one of which is Paul!
