I don't claim to be the most 'versed' person in doctrine nor am I by any means a great theologian so please bare with me as I speak from the heart...
One of the things I love most about these symbols is how the Lord speaks to all Christians in their walk with Him. Not long ago I had a few college students from a fundamental, Christian university approach me about what these symbols meant to them. They loved how they could reach down deep with each symbol and dig into the doctrine of Christianity. At the same time we constantly get people that have absolutely no training in God's Word tell us how they learned the life of Christ through these simple symbols.
It is amazing for me to watch how these symbols cut through denominational, racial, and cultural barriers. I have never seen something so basic be so simple to understand; yet so meaningful that it encompasses the life of Christ.
I always seem to find refuge in how the Lord speaks to me in different ways each day as I think on the Witness symbols. We would love to hear your story and what Witness means to you!
